UX Designer - content design (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Redstone Forge Transit Planning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
