UX Designer - accessibility review (Tucson, AZ)
Fernwood Umber Transit Planning · Tucson, AZ · contract
Fernwood Umber Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work.
We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work.
What you will do
• Audit screens for accessibility and readability.
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
• Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
• Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails.
What we are looking for
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in service alerts.
Working arrangement
• Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension.
• On site in Tucson.
• We reply to every applicant.
