UX Designer - accessibility review (Toledo, OH)

Redstone Forge Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Toledo working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
