UX Designer - accessibility review (St. Louis, MO)

Harborlight Early Learning · St. Louis, MO · part time

We are growing our team at Harborlight Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
