UX Designer - accessibility review (St. Louis, MO)

Harborlight Umber Arts Center · St. Louis, MO · contract

Harborlight Umber Arts Center is an arts centre in St. Louis with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
