UX Designer - accessibility review (St. Louis, MO)

Cedar Ember Insurance is an insurance company in St. Louis with claims and service teams, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 122 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
