UX Designer - accessibility review (Spokane, WA)

Harborlight Kestrel Insurance · Spokane, WA · part time

Harborlight Kestrel Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 964 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
