UX Designer - accessibility review (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Summit West Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
