UX Designer - accessibility review (Savannah, GA)
Summit Wilder Early Learning · Savannah, GA · contract
Summit Wilder Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work.
Children come first and so does looking after the teachers.
What you will do
• Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
• Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
What we are looking for
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in tuition and subsidies.
Working arrangement
• Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
• On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
