UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Summit Fox Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 372 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around learning materials that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in learning materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
