UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Oak Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around San Jose, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
