UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Lumen Sable Medical designs and makes medical devices in San Jose. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around device records that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in device records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
