UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Clearpath Junction Press is a printer and publisher in San Jose serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
