UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Ironwood Amber Insurance is an insurance company in San Jose with claims and service teams. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
