UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Highbridge Vale Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in San Jose, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around complaint handling that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in complaint handling. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
