UX Designer - accessibility review (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Kestrel Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around San Jose, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around policy renewals that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
