UX Designer - accessibility review (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Quill Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
