UX Designer - accessibility review (San Diego, CA)

Greenridge Meadow Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
