UX Designer - accessibility review (Richmond, VA)

Highbridge Juniper Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Richmond presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around event logistics that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in event logistics. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
