UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Highbridge Rook Community Partners is a nonprofit in Pittsburgh supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
