UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Bright Bridge Transit Planning · Remote · part time

Bright Bridge Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
