UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Northwind Amber Early Learning · Remote · part time

Northwind Amber Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 884 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
