UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Summit Mill Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Virginia Beach design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
