UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Lumen Iron Insurance Group · Remote · part time

Lumen Iron Insurance Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
