UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Harborlight Ridge Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Pittsburgh, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
