UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Nova Amber Learning Group · Remote · contract

Nova Amber Learning Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
