UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)
Northwind Vale Markets · Remote · full time
Northwind Vale Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Charleston. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review.
You would join a small organisation of about 43 people, working mostly from home.
What you will do
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
• Audit screens for accessibility and readability.
• Design for tasks around pricing that people do under time pressure.
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
What we are looking for
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in pricing.
Working arrangement
• Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule.
• Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charleston.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
