UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Highbridge Umber Transit Planning · Remote · contract

Highbridge Umber Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 353 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
