UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Lumen North Learning Group · Remote · contract

Lumen North Learning Group is an education provider in Birmingham serving students and families, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 462 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in school calendars. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
