UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Amberfield Corner Learning Group · Remote · part time

Amberfield Corner Learning Group is an education provider in Cincinnati serving students and families, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
