UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Summit Kestrel Community Partners · Remote · part time

Summit Kestrel Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in food distribution. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
