UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Cedar Loom Learning Group · Remote · part time

Cedar Loom Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Birmingham area, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 104 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
