UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Harborlight Meridian Arts Center · Remote · part time

We are growing our team at Harborlight Meridian Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ticketing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
