UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Silverline Fern Arts Center · Remote · part time

Silverline Fern Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Providence presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
