UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Harborlight Banking Services Group provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Madison, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around card disputes that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in card disputes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
