UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Westbrook Ember Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Providence. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
