UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Northwind Keystone Transit Planning · Remote · contract

We are growing our team at Northwind Keystone Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 906 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
