UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Bright Hollow Arts Center · Remote · part time

Bright Hollow Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
