UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Ironwood North Insurance · Remote · full time

Ironwood North Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
