UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Fernwood Corner Medical · Remote · part time

Fernwood Corner Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in San Jose. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around regulatory submissions that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
