UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Northwind Beacon Medical is a San Diego company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around complaint handling that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in complaint handling. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
