UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Thistle Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
