UX Designer - accessibility review (Raleigh, NC)

Ironwood Timber Learning Group · Raleigh, NC · part time

Ironwood Timber Learning Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for student accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around student accounts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
