UX Designer - accessibility review (Providence, RI)

Ironwood Rook Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Providence plant, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
