UX Designer - accessibility review (Providence, RI)

Ironwood River Markets is a Providence retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around supplier deliveries that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
