UX Designer - accessibility review (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bright Thistle Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Pittsburgh. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around customer complaints that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in customer complaints. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
