UX Designer - accessibility review (Phoenix, AZ)

Harborlight Willow Early Learning · Phoenix, AZ · contract

Harborlight Willow Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Phoenix, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in tuition and subsidies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
