UX Designer - accessibility review (Omaha, NE)

Summit Sparrow Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
