UX Designer - accessibility review (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Cedar Sable Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in press runs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
