UX Designer - accessibility review (Oakland, CA)

Stonegate Vista Community Partners runs community programmes across Oakland, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
